Te Puritanga joins Haemata as a consultant and project manager. She is a tauira of kōhanga reo, Kura Mana Māori and Māori secondary school.
She brings experience from both private and public sectors, locally and internationally with a focus on indigenous economic development. Key work programmes have focused on policy and strategy development, and implementation at the regional (He Mauri Ohooho – Bay of Plenty, and Te Matarau a Māui - Greater Wellington) and local, internal levels – Councils and The Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Te Puritanga also represents her iwi on post settlement governance entities.
She has held consultant and managerial roles in both private and public sector organisations with experience in research, strategy, and policy development.
